Who Am I?
iain asio (thats me!) is an indie singer-songwriter and wordsmith fluent in the language of music.
I grew up in Canada, and I continue to expand my musical horizons. I have done many different projects in and outside of my schooling. I finished a Diploma in Music Industry Arts and a Certificate in Audio Post Production. As a multi-instrumentalist, my vision is to connect people across the world with my music and storytelling.
Currently, I am working through a Double Major in Popular Music Studies and Social Justice and Peace, pursuing further knowledge in not only the creation and development of music, but also the many issues surrounding musicians in today's day and age. Whatever I can do to help you, I will try my hardest.

Audio Editing, Music Production, and Post Production
Throughout my years, I have worked with many people on many different projects. On top of this demo reel, there have been mixing sessions, mastering sessions, consultations, audio editing, composition, and so much else. I have experience making music for short films, music for my own and other people's YouTube videos, and music for video games. I have done Foley, ADR, promotional videos, educational videos, and so much more.
I trust my ears and my abilities and would love to help you reach your goals.

What I Have Worked On!
These are just a few examples of the various projects that I have worked on.
Overtake That Kid with Newkiddo
NewKiddo, who has an audience of over 600k on Youtube, reached out to me to help him produce a song for his channel. I produced the track; he recorded his lead and background vocals. I then mixed and mastered it. He liked it so much that he uploaded it to all streaming services, and the Spotify link is right here!
I made a video about this on my channel, which you can watch here for even more information.
Mixing and Mastering for callum contursi
Musician callum contrusi reached out to me to help him with some mixing and mastering on his album "the blues", out on streaming services right here.
On this project, I worked on "disassociate" and "tonight".
On "disassociate", callum sent me a track, and I wrote the lyrics and did some additional production. I also did the final mix and master.
On "tonight", I did some additional vocals, as well as the final mix and master.
This project was a lot of fun to work on and turned out really well. I highly recommend you listen, the Spotify link is right here. If you like the blues fused with lo-fi hip hop, R&B, and flavours of jazz, you will love this record.
Music for Strawberry Dagger Studios
Strawberry Dagger Studios is an independent game company known for making high-quality and well-written visual novels. They are currently working on a game called "How Not To Love". How Not To Love is a Drama/Slice of Life visual novel that explores various friend, family, romantic, and adversarial relationships while each character attends the same high school party.
You can find all of their games and more info through their itch.io page here.
For How Not To Love, I am in charge of all the in-game music, creating music that fits the story of the game. That means all the background music, but also a fully produced in-game song related to the story (no spoilers)!
Ame (the mastermind behind Strawberry Dagger Studios) approached me through my online content and asked if I wanted to be a part of the team. (For those of you unaware, Ame is a wonderful human who is not only my moderator on my Twitch streams but also the person who has designed my merch, helped set up this website, and has been helping me behind the scenes in ways I am truly thankful for.) You can find more information about what Ame can do here.
